Last of the Summer Wine actress The Estate Of Dame June Whitfield is supporting EE and Age UK's National Techy Tea Party Day, which aims to tackle digital exclusion of the older generation.

Over 500 EE stores across the UK will close their tills for the morning on September 9 to allow over 2000 EE staff to host Techy Tea Parties, where they will help people improve their basic digital skills. Whitfield, an Age UK ambassador, said 'I believe that we should all be given the chance to learn basic digital skills. There are endless opportunities online and I would encourage everyone, no matter what their age, to embrace it'.
